Meet the Fort Worth Team Behind Laurel Attic Insulation Fort Worth
You don’t need a big crew to do attic insulation right. You need the right crew. The team at Laurel Attic Insulation Fort Worth is small by design, which means every attic we crawl into, every R-value we calculate, and every spray foam job we dial in gets handled by someone whose name you’ll actually know. We’re a mixed bunch: some of us grew up sweating through Texas summers, others came to insulation from framing or HVAC, but we all share the same stubborn belief that a job isn’t finished until the homeowner can feel the difference. Since 2003, we’ve been climbing ladders in Tarrant County, pulling old batts out of tight spaces, and making Fort Worth houses hold their temperature like they’re supposed to.
Our People
Chase Whitaker, Owner
Chase founded Laurel Attic Insulation Fort Worth in 2003, back when spray foam was still a novelty in most North Texas homes and fiberglass batts ruled every attic from Wedgwood to Saginaw. Two decades later, he still walks job sites and still picks up the phone. His hands know every material we install: Owens Corning, Rockwool, Icynene, Demilec, CertainTeed, Johns Manville, Knauf, GreenFiber. His rule is simple: match the material to the house, not to whatever’s stacked on the truck. Chase writes every quote himself and stands behind the 365-Day Done Right Promise because he’s the one who named it. When he’s not in an attic, he’s usually trying to keep his garden alive through July, which he says is good practice for understanding how hard Texas heat works against a poorly insulated ceiling.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been with Laurel since 2011 and has probably crawled through more Fort Worth attics than anyone else in the company. He’s our lead on spray foam jobs, which is the work that demands the most precision: mix ratios, substrate temps, humidity windows. Marcus is the guy who checks the weather forecast before he checks his coffee. He’s certified in closed-cell and open-cell application and can tell you within about ten minutes whether a 1950s ranch in Ridglea Hills needs air sealing before insulation or the other way around. His pet peeve is homeowners who’ve been sold R-30 when their ductwork is leaking half the conditioned air into the attic anyway. Off the clock, he builds fishing rods, a hobby that requires roughly the same patience as insulating a kneewall in August.
Dana R., Senior Installer
Dana came to us from commercial HVAC installation, which means she thinks about airflow before she thinks about insulation, and that’s exactly the order it should go. She runs our attic insulation installs, including removal of old, compacted, or rodent-soiled material, and she’s the reason our before-and-after photo updates actually show you the important stuff: baffles cleared, air leaks sealed, batts laid flat with no gaps. Dana is also the crew’s safety watchdog. Attics in Fort Worth summers routinely hit 130 degrees, and she’s the first to call a heat break or reschedule for early morning if conditions get dangerous. Her human detail: she once found a fully intact 1962 Star-Telegram newspaper used as makeshift insulation in a Fairmount attic. It’s framed in our shop.
Luis G., Service Coordinator
Luis is the voice on the phone when you call (817) 730-5474, and he’s been coordinating schedules for Laurel since 2016. He’s the one who makes the live arrival tracking work: you’ll get a real time before the truck shows up, not a window. Luis knows the Fort Worth map the way some people know their favorite playlist, which means he can route a same-day insulation removal from Benbrook to a spray foam consult in North Richland Hills without making anyone wait. He’s also fluent in the material catalog, so if you want to know why we’d recommend Rockwool over fiberglass for your specific house, Luis can explain it without putting you on hold. His background is in logistics, and it shows. When he’s not coordinating, he’s rebuilding a 1978 Honda motorcycle that his wife has stopped asking about.
One Standard, Every Job
The four of us operate on a rule that doesn’t bend: every job gets a written price before work starts, a written guarantee when it’s done, and a free second visit if something fails within 365 days. That’s not a sales pitch. It’s the Relay Standard, the operating framework that connects Laurel to the Relay Home Co. family of independent local home-service businesses. What it means in practical terms: you’ll see live arrival tracking when the truck is headed your way, before-and-after photos when the work is done, and a digital invoice you can pay from your phone. No handshake deals, no vague promises, no waiting on a callback. Chase put this in place because he’s been on the other side of a bad home-service experience, and he decided Fort Worth deserved better. The team just makes it happen every day, one attic at a time.
